Law Explorers
The Gwinnett County Bar Association sponsors a Venturing program, Law Explorers. Venturing is a youth development program of the Boy Scouts of America for young men and women who are 14 (and have completed the eighth grade) through 20 years of age. Venturing's purpose is to provide positive experiences to help young people mature and to prepare them to become responsible and caring adults.
Law Explorers meet monthly from September to May. Participants should check this page prior to the meetings for the most up-to-date information about the location and topic of the meeting.
Our next meeting will be on Wednesday April 14, 2010
The Gwinnett County Bar Association and the nationally known Explorer organization have organized this program to assist high school students who are interested in a career in Law & Government.
This is a co-ed program that offers students the opportunity to interact closely with experts in the legal field. The students will receive hands-on training, knowledge about the different areas of law, an opportunity to attend a Law & Government Conference, and the chance to participate in Regional Competitions. Students will also be eligible for a college scholarship.
Our next meeting will be held on April 14, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sheriff's training room at the Gwinnett County Detention Center in Lawrenceville. We will be touring the Detention Center promptly at 7:00, so please be on time!
Thanks in advance to Angela Couch Nguyen and Dan Whitworth for heading up this worthy cause!
